Youth Music & Band Camps (ages 7-12)
Coast Music’s Youth Music & Band Camps give young musicians ages 7–12 an exciting, immersive summer experience with small-group instruction in vocals and instruments, band rehearsals, music games, crafts, and performance workshops.
Campers develop technique, teamwork, and confidence through ensemble play and daily activities, culminating in a live performance for family and friends. Whether in our half-day band camp or full-day music and outdoor recreation camp, students grow creatively while having fun in a supportive musical community.
Ages 7 - 11
Half Day Music and Band Camp
This is Coast Music’s most popular summer camp! This exciting Rock/Pop Band Camp gives students the opportunity to grow as musicians and vocalists, build confidence, and have a blast making music with peers in a fun and supportive environment. Campers spend each morning making music together, with a scheduled snack break at 11:00 a.m.
Each week campers get to choose the songs their groups will perform. Bands typically learn an impressive 3–5 songs during a single session. This highly interactive camp keeps students actively engaged throughout the week!
All experience levels are welcome, and no prior musical experienceis required. Camp families are always amazed by how much growth takes place over the course of the week. Students often leave camp with new found confidence, stronger musical skills, lasting friendships, and a genuine excitement for performing.
This camp is also a fantastic introduction to Coast Music’s Youth Band Program, and many campers go on to join one of Coast Music’s year-round bands after experiencing the joy of rocking out with their peers!
The week culminates in an exciting and always memorable performance for friends and family, where campers showcase everything they’ve learned throughout the week! Weekly performances take place at Coast Music on Fridays at 12:00 p.m.
Throughout the week, campers participate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities including:
Small Group Instrument-Specific Instruction (vocal, guitar/bass, drums, keys, etc.)
Sectional and Full Band Rehearsals
Performance and Stage Presence Workshops
Music Crafts and Jewelry Making
Daily Music-Themed Games where students have the chance to earn prizes throughout the week — one of our campers’ favorite parts of camp!

Out-of-Town Students Interested in Our Camps?
Out-of-town students may apply for our host family program. Trusted local families provide housing, breakfast, and dinner, with private or shared rooms available.
The rate is $200 per night, and all placements are approved after a Zoom meeting. Fill out the form to request host family placement.
